The Tallahassee Ballet

The Tallahassee Ballet was founded in 1972 by Helen Salter, a former Balanchine dancer, and celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2023. The company moved into a new 14,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility in 2021 with three studios, supporting its professional company, apprentice program, and community youth company. It remains the capital region's primary ballet institution.
