Located in the Kansas City Northland, Diane's School of Dance provides comprehensive dance instruction with a philosophy that dance training is life training, promoting discipline, poise, and self-confidence. The curriculum includes classical ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, contemporary, and lyrical styles.
Kansas City Ballet was founded in 1957 by Russian expatriate Tatiana Dokoudovska and is now led by Artistic Director Devon Carney. The company has performed over 400 works in its history and presented a Balanchine Festival in 1982 to honor mentor George Balanchine. The KCB School enrolls over 600 students with 50+ instructors across multiple campuses.
The KC Ballet School is the official training academy of Kansas City Ballet, directed by School Director Oliver Till. With one of the largest ballet school enrollments in the region, it maintains campuses in downtown Kansas City and Johnson County, offering a complete professional ballet curriculum.
