Central Florida Ballet was founded in 2000 by Vasile Petrutiu and Heather Fryxell-Sanders and trains in the Vaganova tradition. The organization made a significant mark on the international dance world by founding the World Ballet Competition (WBC) in 2007 - which in 2008 became the first ballet competition to be entirely broadcast live on the internet. The school offers a wide range of disciplines including Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT).
